New 2021 Town Plan Adopted

On April 12, 2021, the Plainfield Select Board adopted the new Town Plan the Planning Commission worked on for two years after the previous Town Plan had expired.   Many thanks for hard work! The 2021 Plainfield Town Plan outlines our community's:
  • Character,
  • Natural Environment,
  • Climate, Resilience and Hazard Mitigation,
  • Housing,
  • Energy,
  • Transportation,
  • Facilities, Utilities, Services, and Resources,
  • Economic Development, and
  • Land Use.

The Planning Commission is now working on revisions to Plainfield's Zoning Ordinance which implements the Town Plan.  Planning Commission meetings are the first and third Mondays of the month at 7:00 PM.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
