Town of Plainfield Job Opportunity:  Assistant Town Clerk  The Town of Plainfield is seeking applicants for the role of Assistant Town Clerk for the Town of Plainfield. This position will be temporary until such time the current Town Clerk retires in September 2022 and the Assistant Clerk can step into the Town Clerk position.
The Clerk position is an annual elected position in Plainfield therefore applicants must reside in the Town of Plainfield.  
This position will include a variety of tasks including administrative duties, responding to telephone calls, assistance with updating the voter checklist, preparation of elections including reporting to the Secretary of State, maintaining personnel records, annual town report, working with committees and the Selectboard on town issues, town building maintenance, records retention, grant research and preparation, and other duties as needed.

How to connect with us:  Our office hours are 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  ​A drop box is available 24/7 for your convenience when the office is closed.  It's located on the front wall of the building at the top of the handicap ramp.
