2022 Town of Plainfield Report

Warnings
Warning for Plainfield Town Meeting - March 7, 2023

Plainfield's American Rescue Plan Act Advisory Committee:   Plainfield has received a total of $377,245 in ARPA funds.  The Advisory Committee is considering what ARPA funds can be used for, what the Town's needs are, and any proposals for the use of the funds and provide the Select Board the committee's wisdom. These are one-time funds, and care needs to be taken in making the important decision of how to best use these funds for our community.  The members of this committee are George Cushing, Jane Bradly, and Arion Thiboumery.  The Select Board commenced consideration of the recommendations from the ARPA Advisory Committee at the Select Board meeting on February 22, 2023 and made a decision regarding allocation of ARPA funds for the Cutler Memorial Library.  Further consideration of use of ARPA funds will take place at future Select Board meetings. Agendas for meetings and Zoom links for participation may be found on the Select Board page.

Your vote is your voice!!! Plainfield had a 59% turnout for the 2022 election on November 8th. Many thanks to all who cast their ballot in-person on November 8, Election Day, or who voted early in person, or who brought their voted ballot to deposit with the Town Clerk prior to election day.  Your participation makes our democracy strong.  Thank you for voting!!!  Plainfield's Election Results Report is available here.
And many, many thanks to our now-retired Town Clerk, Linda Wells, and to new Town Clerk Robin Miller and Assistant Town Clerk Carol Smith as well as election volunteers and Plainfield's Justices of the Peace, for their work to make Plainfield's November 8 election well-run, accurate, and welcoming.  As is typical with elections in Plainfield, all went smoothly.
