Plainfield Select Board
The Plainfield Select Board meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 PM at the municipal building at 149 Main Street (or, if a larger number of attendees are expected, at the Town Hall Opera House). The Select Board is the legislative body for the town. Our responsibilities include enacting ordinances, regulations and policies, overseeing town property and personnel, as well as preparing and presenting the annual budget to the town's voters on Town Meeting Day.

November 12, 2018 Selectboard Meeting Cancelled. Heads up, folks. There won't be any Plainfield Selectboard meeting on the regular second Monday of the month in November, so no meeting on November 12th. There are only three selectboard members and two can't make it that evening. See you on November 26th instead. We anticipate discussing whether or not to go ahead with possible changes to the Recreation Field Ordinance at the meeting on he 26th
Recreation Field Ordinance Changes
At the August 13 Select Board meeting, the Board considered a rough draft of possible changes to the Recreation Field Ordinance enacted in 2010. The latest version, still a very rough draft, is here for folks to look at and weigh in on. To decipher the possible changes, portions being considered for removal are stricken through.
